Ardisia japonica 'Houkan'

Pleasing evergreen shrub with gold variegation. A low moundy shrub, for a leafy soil in shade. Star-like white flowers followed by unpalatable bright red fruit. Sheltered spot, or beautiful in a pot where it might be brought in should the winter turn colder up to -5C.

The 9cm plants will only be available until we start potting them up so don’t delay. They can be planted out in April/May
