Salvia guaranitica 'Black n Blue'
We have been growing this guaranitica for many years, a good hardy herbaceous perennial, blue flowers from a darker almost black calyx. Like all like all guaranitica sorts it reappears in June, so don’t be impatient. Sunny open site, average to well drained soils, 130cm. An herbaceous perennial for an open sunny site. Can be propagated by division.
Salvia sent out in the summer months will be trimmed, they will re flower very quickly and continue to flower into the autumn. A mulch over the crown in late Autumn is beneficial to herbaceous sorts.
