Veratrum californicum 'Album'
PLEASE NOTE THIS MAY BE VERATRUM VIRIDE a mix up over the seed collection. Both sorts are sought after and it is likely this is white, but we cannot be certain. We do have both at the nursery.
A hardy herbaceous perennial with pleated basal leaves. Large spires comprising of small 6 petalled star like white flowers on branching spires from mid to late summer. Height 1m+ (If viride then the flowers are green)
Happy in good soils in part shade. Loves same conditions as Hostas
CAUTION toxic if eaten.
